Fashion is forever changing, but Liberty of London are ones for setting trends: they have just released a range of little bags, which are reminiscent of 60's art work, known as 'Iphis'.
The Iphis range features purses, wallets and make-up bags inspired by the Ianthe print, an Art Nouveau design dating back to 1902. For (British) summer, the range has been updated in a psychedelic colour palette.
Personally, I love this range, I was visiting a friend who has a bit of a shopping habit and she owns three of these and they are quite covetable.
Admittedly the Iphis range doesn't come cheap, but fashion is rarely a cheap dalliance, in my book anyway. To keep ahead of the game and in the fashionable books you could buy the cotton-canvas pouch (above), and tell yourself it is an investment – when you tally up cost-per-use it’s actually rather reasonable.
