With summer officially over, it is time to prepare for the cooler seasons of the year.
It isn’t just our wardrobes that will change, make up goes through trends too.
Autumn and Winter is a great time to be daring with your make up.
Key looks for this season include dark lips – think burgundy, purple, mulberry and even black.

Grammy-award-winner Lorde’s gothic look has inspired many, with cosmetic giant MAC joining the talented singer to release her own collection.
Makeup artist, hairdresser and founder of Kylie’s Professional Brand Kylie Eustace said the cooler months would see people making bold lip statements.
“Autumn and Winter is the perfect time to update your makeup kit and enjoy playing with makeup.
Berry, violet and plum/burgundy lipstick shades are huge right now. They look fantastic on fuller lips and make a statement.
Lip shades worn as full lip colour or worn as a stain with the concentration of lipstick worn in the centre of the lip and fading out towards the edge of the lips is becoming more popular,” Kylie said.
But darker lip colours aren’t the only colours we should try, Kylie says.
“Bright lips and deep lips are popular with orangey reds, bright orange and bright pink lipstick shades.”
She says nude lips were still popular when worn with dark smoky eyes.
And for the eyes Kylie said there was a mix of looks people could go for.
“The key looks range from black and bold graphic liquid lined and cat eyes to softer, smoky and blended styles and soft understated eyes.
“The liquid and cat eye look can be worn with nude or with bright lips. The smoky eye and the grunge smudged liner look is a fashion statement that is popular. These eyes look great with a nude lip.”
