The Indian traditional dresses have become more prominent, and are setting a trend in the fashion industry across the globe. The most common traditional clothing for women in India are the Salwar Kameez; the Sarees, and the Lehangas. These dresses come in various designs, and may be worn according to the occasion. The vibrant colour of the fabrics gives it a fresh and attractive appearance. There are a wide range of all these types of Indian Ethnic wear, and this type of clothing generally varies as per the culture religion that the people inhabit.

India Sarees

Sarees are a traditional form of Indian ethnic wear, and are the most common and accepted piece of clothing. It is a graceful ethnic outfit worn by the women, and enhances their attractiveness. The Sarees come in various lengths (generally 6 yards or 9 yards), and may be of silk, cotton or a chiffon material. They may be draped in different styles and patterns, and each style has its own uniqueness.

Salwar Kurta

It is the most comfortable wear, and makes you look adorable. It is immensely popular in most of the regions in India; traditionally in the North, and is now gaining popularity in the western countries as well. A set of Salwar Kameez is a combination of three pieces-Salwar (resembling a loose pyjama), Kameez (upper piece of the set) and a Dupatta (resembles a scarf). There are wide varieties of Salwar Kameeze like the Chudidar Kurta, Patiyala style, Indo western fusion, Short Kurtas with Pants etc, and they're available in patterns to suit the occasion and in pleasing colors.

Lehanga Choli

This outfit was originated from the tribal region and is rapidly gaining its popularity. It is a very elegant dress, and makes you look very graceful. The dress consists of a long flowing skirt (the lehanga) and a blouse (the choli). These are mostly worn on occasions such as weddings and parties. The designer dupatta or choli adds even more grace to this outfit.

Being from India, I feel a lot of pride about these ethnic wears. I also feel that there are a range of clothes which would suit every woman. A good way to get them would be to order them online from reputable websites that include eBay , Jabong and Yebhi .
