is a new online UK fashion brand set up by set up in 2013. The idea was conceived by Marc, Adam, and Jonny, who wanted to give artists a platform to get their work in print and available to the public.
The idea is simple, yet innovative and completely unique. Artists can submit anything from a single central image to a full all-over design.
You can choose from several coloured t-shirts or sweaters, deciding which one best works with your print. You can, however, only choose one. It would be nice if you could have your print on both a t-shirt and a sweater rather than either or. As a customer, there was a design that I loved, but was only available on a sweater, when I was looking for a t-shirt.
Once you have uploaded your design, you set the price. You can decide whatever price you want, but most range from £15 - £25.
When your design goes live, customers can vote for your clothing, and if it gets enough votes by closing time, then it will be made into a real t-shirt/sweater, which people can buy. If people do buy your design, then you get part of the profits.
I am not a skilled artist, but it sounded like quite a fun challenge, so had a go myself. My design is currently in the voting process.
If you are not an artist, then the fun comes in the voting. Vote for your friends, your favourite designs, and ones you would like to wear. This gives you a unique say in the kinds of clothes you can buy.
Although they are a UK company, also ship to the US and anywhere in the EU. They plan on opening this up to a wider area in the future. But even if you are not in any of these countries, you can still submit your designs.
One of the most successful artists is Tori Ratcliffe, who makes beautiful animal watercolour paintings. At first I wondered what made her so much more successful than the other artists, because she only had two shirts on sale. When I wanted her lion design, however, I was told it had sold out. When would they be getting more? They wouldn't. Each t-shirt/sweater is a limited edition to ensure that they keep bring out new and exciting stock. I was disappointed, but completely understand why this is done. There is also the benefit that there will be very few other people who own the same thing as you.
Instead, I asked for Ratcliffe's bear design, which arrived in the post one day later, with a cheery message encouraging me to open the package.
Made from 100%, t-shirt looked brilliant. I ordered small, which came as a loose fit; if you are not sure which to go for, then they have a size guide to help.
All 's products are unisex, but currently they only do clothing for adults. Whether or not they decide to expand into a children's range in the future, I don't know, but I could imagine it being very successful - especially if children are also allowed to submit their own designs.
